Timorous Beasties Join Panel at IKEA: Magical Patterns Press Launch

Timorous Beasties joined a panel at the press opening of IKEA: Magical Patterns, the UK’s first IKEA exhibition, discussing textile design and its influence on interiors.

Celebrating 60 Years of Pattern

Magical Patterns brings together 180 iconic fabrics that highlight IKEA’s role in shaping Swedish design. From bold graphic prints to playful contemporary patterns, the exhibition spans the revolutionary work of the Swedish collective 10-gruppen to modern design icons.

At the press opening, the panel discussion explored the power of pattern in our homes and lives. Alongside Timorous Beasties, contributors included:

  • Anna Sandberg Falk - Curator, IKEA Museum

  • Ida Pettersson Preutz - Artist & Freelance Designer for IKEA

  • Chaired by Celia Joicey - Director of Dovecot Studios
