Introducing an atmosphere of warmth to an otherwise conventionally formal space, we framed the wallpaper pattern to a height that simultaneously avoided encroachment on the room’s art collection and yet created a field of focus for the main portrait of Queen Victoria. The centre-piece rug (manufactured by Loophouse), drapes, and a printed blind showcase a craftwork juxtaposition of high-tech digital printing and traditional hand-printing and hand-tufted manufacturing methods.
