The Scottish National Portrait Gallery opened in 1889, has undergone a dramatic renovation and re-opens on 1st December 2011. Designed by renowned architect Sir Robert Rowand it is one of Edinburgh’s most iconic buildings. Timorous Beasties have been commissioned to produce a collection of home accessories inspired by the portraits therein, including Robert Burns, Bonnie Prince Charlie, James VI, Queen Anne and Mary Queen of Scots.
