Aimed at the contract market 'Solid Wallcoverings' are a made-to-measure high spec vinyl, available in 6 designs. : 9, May 2010; Timorous Beasties headline digital revolution; Timorous Beasties new digital prints headline UK 'Design Week' magazine. Timorous Beasties new digital work features prominently in an article on the future of digital printing and technology. This new work can be seen at ICFF 2010.

: 4, November 2009; Famous Grouse; This evening the launch of the new Famous Grouse bottle will take place at our Glasgow showroom.
Timorous Beasties have produced a custom made design to be used on the packaging of a limited edition packaging for Scotland's best selling whisky, which will be available for Christmas onwards from www.thefamousgrouse.com and selected retailers. The limited edition Famous Grouse features a one-off hand drawn design by Timorous Beasties which provides a visual history of the brand and its home, along with the famous bird itself. Elements of the design have also been used in a wallpaper which will be available to selected bars and retail outlets for display.; view

: 2, October 2009; Food With Thought; The 'Food With Thought' exhibition at the famous London Borough Market during September proved to be a spectacular and eye-catching event. Timorous Beasties specially designed two canvases, namely 'Spit Roast' and 'Pork in Cider', which were hung from the rafters of the market. Due to the success of the event, next year will see the return of something equally exciting.

The 'Britain can still make it' exhibition takes inspiration from teh 1946 show 'Britain can make it' held just after the War at the V&A. The exhibition will involve established and upcoming British designers - all of whome produce their work in the UK. On display will be a giant angelpoise lamp designed by Squint and upholstered in Timorous Beatsies Iguana fabric.

: 11, August 2009; Edinburgh Festival; When asked to design the Edinburgh festival brochure, Timorous Beasties response was the Edinburgh Toile. With the festival kicking off: 14^th August - 6^th September, the festival brochure can be viewed @ www.eif.co.uk. The Edinburgh Toile will be seen everywhere in the city: as a wallpaper and fabric in Jenners window display, on taxis, billboards and festival brochures. The Edinburgh Toile will be available to purchase as a wallpaper, fabric and ceramics from our shops after the festival.

: 22, June 2009; Glasgow Showroom event; Last Thursday evening, industry friends and clients were invited along to our Glasgow showroom for a private viewing of the new digital fabric collection and Barberinni superwide wallpaper. It was a great evening and opportunity for a drink and a chat.

: 14, April 2009; Launch of 'Chester' chair - Milan '09; Timorous Beasties and SCP launch the new ‘Chester' chair at the Milan Salone Internazionale del Mobile 2009. Timorous Beasties were asked by SCP to re-design the traditional chesterfield chair, the result is a comfy leather armchair with button detail, available in black and brown leather.
SCP has been at the forefront of British furniture design and manufacturing for over two decades. SCP makes all of its upholstery by hand at the SCP factory in Norfolk.

: 30, March 2009; Edinburgh Toile; Timorous Beasties new ‘Edinburgh Toile' makes the Scottish news headlines due to the mixed reactions it has received. Timorous Beasties were commissioned by the Edinburgh International Festival (EIF) to create an Edinburgh Toile in celebration of one of the themes of Festival 09 - The Scottish Enlightenment. The design features on the cover of the EIF programme, festival bags, adverts, and taxis.
The Edinburgh Toile features delicate, candy-pink drawings, depicting Edinburgh landmarks such as Greyfriars Bobby and St Giles Cathedral alongside junk food, traffic chaos, drunks and homeless people. The Royal Mile statue of philosopher David Hume is topped with a traffic cone, while around his feet are beggars shivering in blankets. Like our earlier Glasgow and London Toiles, the Edinburgh Toile depicts realism and a tongue-in-cheek humour, shame some folk see it as a bad joke!; view

: 14, July 2008; Happy days; Last Friday we had a party at our Glasgow showroom to celebrate its 4th year in business and to showcase new fabrics and wallpapers. Industry friends and clients joined us for a wee dram, and even the sun came out, making it a real summer party.

: 14, July 2008; 5th Berlin Biennial 2008; Timorous Beasties screen-print a large curtain for artists Rosalind Nashashibi and Lucy Skaer.
The curtain was used to section off part of the museum for their collaborative work Pygmalion, 2008, which focuses on Henri Matisse's design for the liturgical garments of the priests at the Chapelle du Rosaire in Venice.; view

What is Pecha Kucha?
Petcha Kucha (which is Japanese for the sound of conversation) Night was conceived in 2003 as a place for young designers to meet, network, and show their work in public.
Each presenter is allowed 20 images, each shown for 20 seconds each - giving 6 minutes 40 seconds of fame before the next presenter is up. This keeps presentations concise, the interest level up, and gives more people the chance to show.

: 8, April 2008; Maggie's Cancer Caring Centres; Timorous Beasties design an eco-friendly cotton shopping bag. The 100% cotton bag which measures 16" by 14" was commissioned for the joint Herald-Maggie's campaign to raise awareness of the inspiring work undertaken by the charity's Cancer Caring Centres in Scotland.
The design is based based on the Tree of Life idea and it's a positive, organic, natural image - the very opposite of toxic, therefore appropriate for a campaign supporting Maggie's Centres.
Who gets a bag?
Personal Friend an individual who supports Maggie's by monthly donations and taking part in events. People who set up a direct debit of £5 a month or more will receive the Timorous Beasties bag.
Active Friend - a group of volunteers who represent Maggie's in their area and plan events to raise money in local communities. People who become Active Friends will receive Timorous Beasties bags for each member of their group.

: 5, March 2008; A Gravestone - to die for; Timorous Beasties donate a "Designer Gravestone" for the 'Institute of Contemporary Arts' (ICA) charity auction. We do not know how much the gravestone sold for since it was a silent bid.
The Gravestone is made from polished black granite, measuring 1100mm by 600mm by 100mm. It is cut on all sides using a mixture of machine and hand engraving techniques by MacKintyre Memorials.; view

: 20, April 2007; DCA: Peacocks Among The Ruins; As part of the Six City’s design festival Timorous Beasties have co-curated an exhibition looking at the history of the use of the natural world in interior design.
This unique exhibition has been specially conceived for DCA to feature as part of the Six Cities Design Festival, Scotland’s first international festival of design. Selected by Timorous Beasties, the Glasgow based design duo whose own projects include a dramatic reinterpretation of early 18th century Toile de Jouy wallpaper, 'Peacocks Among The Ruins' brings together examples of historical and contemporary wallpaper, textiles and objects by a diverse range of designers from around the globe.

The flora and fauna of our natural environment has consistently been used to create a back drop within the home, from the wallpaper designs of William Morris to the textiles of Josef Frank. Natural subjects continue to be re-interpreted in contemporary design, often in highly original and sometimes eccentric ways. This exhibition presents a history of interior design according to Timorous Beasties’ own particular world view and contains work ranging from examples of 18th century Toile, the experimental, William Morris inspired wallpaper projections of Christopher Pearson, and Swedish designers, Fronts’ Horse Lamp.
