Standen House and Garden Christmas Tree

IMG_4305.jpg

TB were invited to decorate this years Christmas Tree at Standen House and Garden in West Sussex.

Standen House is an Arts and Crafts house designed by architect Philip Webb who was a dear companion of William Morris.  In fact Morris who loathed drawing birds would ask Webb to draw them for him, which he would then incoporate in his designs.

TB created a number of baubles all in the form of a mirrored diamond square (the latter being a mediaeval symbol of hospitality).  In every diamond square different birds were featured that are depicted in our designs in particular TB Fruit Looters print, which was inspired by William Morris's Strawberry Pickers.
